London bombings: ten years on

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the worst ever terrorist attack on British soil.

On July 7 2005, 52 people were killed and another 700 injured by the co-ordinated assault on London - the first ever suicide attack in the UK.

Tonight, survivors of the bombings and relatives of those who died will join British Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson at memorial events in central London.

One of those who survived the terrorist attacks was Shanie Ryan, who joins Fran Kelly on RN Breakfast.
