Since Q&A allowed Zaky Mallah to speak live on ABC TV, the program has been labelled a headline-grabbing, tabloid, and sensationalist 'lefty lynch mob'.
Human Rights Commissioner and Q&A panellist Tim Wilson appeared on Monday night's program, saying the show had become 'caught up with gotcha' moments and snide remarks'.
Now, the format and content of Q&A is the subject of an Inquiry being led by veteran television journalist, Ray Martin.
But the original program - and the outcry - raises a broader question: what should current affairs television look like in 2015?
To discuss that, RN Breakfast is joined by Rob Raschke and Jonathan Holmes.
Rob Raschke has 30 years experience in print, radio and television journalism, and is the Director of News and Current Affairs at the Seven Network.
Jonathan Holmes is a former presenter of Media Watch, and former head of Four Corners, Foreign Correspondent, and the 7.30 Report.
