Malaysian authorities and aviation experts say they are almost certain that debris washed up on a remote island off the east African coast could belong to missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.
A two metre piece of debris was discovered yesterday on Reunion Island, a French territory, and is expected to be flown today to Toulouse in France for examination.
There are reports the remnants of a badly damaged suitcase have also washed up in the same area.
The discovery could be the biggest lead yet in the search for the 777 Boeing that vanished in March last year with 239 people on board, shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur.
