Donald Trump's brazen presidential campaign leads Republican race

Real estate mogul and business magnate Donald Trump has dominated coverage of the Republican presidential race in recent days, with controversial comments on a range of issues.

He's spoken out against America's nuclear deal with Iran, calling it 'dumb' and saying the US failed to negotiate from a position of strength.

Trump has also criticised Senator John McCain for being captured during his war service, and made strident comments on illegal immigration.

And, to show that one of his rivals was recently courting his favour, Trump read out the phone number of presidential hopeful Lindsey Graham to the public.

Despite the brazen nature of his campaigning, Trump has topped some of the recent polls as the preferred Republican candidate.
