Metadata project reveals privacy risks

Researchers at Stanford University say they're staggered by how much information they were able to unearth about people by simply looking at the phone numbers they called. The study encouraged volunteers knowingly to install a tracking application onto their phones. The researchers say they were able to predict people's medical conditions, hobbies and relationships simply by looking at the metadata.
