When it comes to picking a sport for your child many of us look to the physical attributes of the child.

Does their body shape suit a particular sport?

How big a role should their personality and psychological needs play in that decision?

Richard Keegan is an Assistant Professor in Sport and Exercise Psychology in the Faculty of Health at the University of Canberra and he spoke to Laura Tchilinguirian.
