Minneapolis Police face questions after Australian woman shot

Police in the US city of Minneapolis are facing tough questions after Australian woman Justine Diamond was fatally shot yesterday.

The 40-year old Sydney woman was shot after police officers were responding to her emergency call of an assault near her home.

It's still unclear why she was shot but her family, friends and neighbours say they want answers.

The two officers who were involved in the shooting are now on paid leave but the Mayor of Minneapolis Betsy Hodges says she wants to know why their body cameras weren't turned on.
