Same-sex marriage postal plebiscite 'such a waste of money': Bill Shorten(Sabra Lane)

Bill Shorten delivered a blistering speech in Parliament yesterday, caning the Government for its postal plebiscite vote on same-sex marriage. The Opposition Leader warned the Prime Minister that he would be personally blamed for all 'the filth' the debate unleashes. Speaking with AM's Sabra Lane, Mr Shorten says the Opposition will participate in the plebiscite campaign, but believes that the survey treats LGBTI Australians as second-class citizens and will give 'idiots and trolls' licence to speak out that they would not otherwise have.
