Calls for national taskforce to address Indigenous hearing loss

There are calls for a national taskforce to address hearing loss caused by ear infections in Australia's Indigenous communities.

Approximately 70 per cent of Indigenous Australians are affected by hearing loss and it has been identified as one the major impediments to closing the gap.

It's also one of many issues being highlighted at the Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association Conference currently underway in the New South Wales' Hunter Valley.
