When Lily Allen's career exploded in the 2000s, her name was on every music lover's lips.
As if her infectious indie pop music wasn't enough to get us chattering, she also had an outspoken nature that we loved just as much as the UK tabloids did.
Her 2006 debut album Alright, Still, with its smash hits 'Smile' and 'LDN', was critically acclaimed across the board and sold tons, going Platinum here in Australia. Allen has since evolved and matured artistically but hasn't lost the edge that makes her music and her personality so magnetic.
As we approach the 15th anniversary of that debut record, we look at Allen's brilliant career thus far in The J Files.
Caz Tran brings you the Lily Allen J Files from 7pm Thursday 4 February on Double J. Or you can listen anytime online, or subscribe to The J Files podcast
