Restaurant rules

In 2003, a review of a Sydney restaurant was so derisive the owners took the paper to court.

Now ten years later damages have now been finalised in the defamation dispute between the Sydney Morning Herald and the owners of a pair Sydney harbour side restaurants.

The court ruled that the three plaintiffs should collectively recieve a total of $623,000 plus legal costs and decided that the trio who had previously each been awarded $160,000 should have this figure increased by 3% interest for each year since the publication of the review.
