Quick recap of where we are at
By Paul Johnson
- There are 7 states still in play - Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Alaska
- Joe Biden is ahead late in the count in the states of Michigan and Wisconsin
- He is also ahead on Nevada but that result will take a while
- Donald trump leads in Georgia, North Carolina and Alaska, the latter is likely remain red
- Pennsylvania has millions of votes to count but they are mostly early votes expected to skew towards Mr Biden
'End of the day' result for Michigan as Biden leads there

"The number of outstanding ballots is still greater than the margin of difference in many races," she said.
More questions to answer
By Paul Johnson
If there are 2.5 million mail in votes in Pennsylvania and they've counted half, assuming that 60-70 percent of mail ins are for Biden can he still win there? Seems unlikely or we will be nail biting all the way to Friday@Jake - It would not be right for me to speculate on this all I can say is Trump is well ahead in Pennsylvania but there are a lot of votes to be counted. Too close to call.-Jake
And final spam question, what state is likely to finish first: Nevada or Wisconsin/Michigan. I know Trump even with winning Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania at this point will have him at 268. Just short of 270. Could we be waiting for one of these three states to actually be deciding the president, not Pennsylvania?@Connor - great question!
It will not be Nevada. In all likelihood it will be Wisconsin - that is what we are expecting first. In terms of the presidency a potential Biden win putside of those states is a potential scenario. At present he is ahead in both Michigan and Wisconsin if he holds those that would give him 264 of the necessary 270. If he were to hold Nevada then that would do it - but that is simply a potential scenario. If he did not then Nevada could also deliver the presidency to Trump but that is just one scenario - there are still a lot of variables and races too close to call.-Connor

"I don't know what the totals are going to end up at, but somewhere between 2.5 million and 3 million ballots."
What to expect today? And what matters most?

Arizona and Nevada state of play
By Paul Johnson
Apparently Arizona is actually 80%ish not 98%, can you confirm this?@Liam - if you mean vote percentage counted then we have it 84 per cent counted and Antony Green called the state for Biden earlier today on ABC news after Fox News US and the Associated Press did so.-Liam

Did the President really say he wanted votes to stop being counted?
By Yasmin Jeffery
Did Trump actually ask the votes to stop being counted? I recall he wanted no more voting to happen. Which I assume wasn't happening anyway.

"We don't want them to find any ballots at 4:00am and add them to the list," he said.
"To me this is a very sad moment.
