US-North Korea summit like Trump’s “reality tv-show finale”: Vipin Narang

Now to the on-again-off-again summit between North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, and the US President, Donald Trump.

Yesterday's meeting of the two Korean leaders has boosted the prospects that the June 12 summit will go ahead.

But even if it does, just how far apart are the goals of Presidents Trump and Kim and could the summit end up creating more dangers than it resolves?

Vipin Narang is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a member of MIT's Security Studies Program and he joins The World Today.
