For the first time ever, revered musical chameleon Beck will spend Easter in Northern New South Wales, as Bluesfest today confirm they've locked him in for a special acoustic set for their 2023 festival.

Beck is one of the most influential and ground-breaking artists in modern indie rock.

From his brilliantly tatty DIY beginnings to the sleek pop of more recent years, he's offered all manner of musical treats across his 14 albums and is a fitting inclusion on next year's bill.

Beck has been playing acoustic shows in the US and Europe over the past year or so and the setlists have been pretty great.

Unsurprisingly they've featured plenty of songs from his incredible 2002 album Sea Change, but have also featured rarely aired old favourites like 'Cyanide Breath Mint' and 'Hollow Log', and covers of songs by Daniel Johnston, The Korgis and Prince.

While Beck has toured Australia countless times over the years, it's been a while between visits. His most recent trip to Australia was in early 2018, where he headlined the first and only Sydney City Limits festival.

Beck is the 50th artist announced for Bluesfest 2023, joining legends like Elvis Costello, Mavis Staples and Lucinda Williams, and local favourites Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, to name but a few.

Here is the Bluesfest 2023 line-up as it stands:
