Everyone has a story to tell, and ABC Radio Melbourne and Melbourne Writers Festival want to hear yours.
The Homespun storytelling competition is back, and we want you to share your true tale with us. The only catch is that you must feature the line 'I have been meaning to tell you'.
Winners will work with ABC Radio Melbourne producers to craft their story to tell on stage in front of an audience at our Homespun storytelling event.*
During the event winners will be sharing the stage with hosts Virginia Trioli and David Astle.
We will listen to every pitch submitted; however, you will only be notified if your story makes it to the shortlist.
Judges from across the ABC and industry partners have selected the best stories for you to hear.
Please note: *Entries are now closed. Unfortunately due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, this event has been postponed, however we can not wait to be able to share the incredible winning stories on stage in front of an audience in the near future. Watch this space for more details.
The 2021 Melbourne Writers Festival runs from 3 - 12 September.
