Adelaide primary school students create welcome cards for Afghan arrivals

Around 100 Afghans are completing hotel quarantine in Adelaide after escaping Taliban-held Kabul.

Seven-year-old Amelie from Tenison Woods Catholic School in Adelaide's west wanted to make them feel welcome, and so her class created cards for the new arrivals.

Her teacher Sarah Byrne told Ali Clarke how it felt to see her students take the initiative.
